A heady atmosphere of nostalgia
Ustad Raza Ali Khan, the grandson of Ustad Bade Ghulam Aki Khan, delivered the best recital this reviewer has so far heard by him at a programme or ganised by Aptech Computer Education at G.D. Birla Sabhagar on May Day eve. The recital was followed by a sarod dute by Amaan Ali Bangash and Ayaan Ali Bangash, the two brilliant sons of Ustad Amjad Ali Khan.

Ghazals in a rainy evening is surely a welcome treat. Incidentally, rains abounded the outside of kolkata on June 16, the day when Sapandan Organised Sham-e-ghazal at G D Birla Sabhaghar. The duo SABIR KHAN and ARUNA KUNDANANI presented some enchanting lyrics to an appreciating audience. Saturday night saw a night of fusion at the Oberoi. The city's music lovers awayed to the beats of the tabla, mingled with the strumming of the santoor and the guitar. Performing were Ustad Amjad Ali Khan's sons AMMAN and AYAAN ALI BANGASH on the santoor, and accompanying them were kari Peters on the guitar, Louis Banks on the key board.
